Higanteng Haligi sa Hilaga

Is a film written by Eljay Castro Deldoc produced by the Philippine Forest Foundation to help raise awareness in preserving the SIERRA MADRE MOUNTAIN RANGE, the longest mountain range in the Philippines, threatened by illegal actions to build the Kaliwa Dam.

The Costume Design by Marco Viana meant to mimic the traditional patterns of indigenous Filipinos. Deldoc’s characters were named after endangered or threatened flora and fauna, and species of the Philippines- namely MAMENG the fish, PIDING the bird and JADE the Jade plant.
